New Year's Day mystery - Planet Patchwork

Have you been wondering if I gave in to starting two new mystery projects or if started the year working on my UFO's?? If you have been reading my blog for long, you know the answer to that question!
Of course I started the New Year's Day mystery and am loving working on it! I opened some Dr. Seuss FQ packs I bought at least a year ago from the Fat Quarter Shop
The fabric had a strong nasty smell when I took the plastic wrap off...maybe it sat unused too long? It washed up perfectly (with a Shout Colour Catcher) and I whipped through the first 4 steps of the mystery very quickly.

I am now ready to move on to step #5!
Did anybody else in blogland start this mystery quilt?

It's a fun jelly roll project!

Yes, I too did it. I "made" a jelly roll from my stash.

Blogged a photo in

I'll be watching to see what you use for the borders.

Me, me, me! I did this mystery but I sure didn't whip through any of the clues. It took me all day to do the 2nd clue... but I was using odd bits and pieces from my strip collection. I'm anxious to see how yours will turn out. Mine has been moved to the back burner while I start a major studio clean up and reorganization.
