Civil War Wednesday

It's not Wednesday? How did that happen? Let's pretend it's Wednesday and I will show my newest civil war sampler blocks...

Block #15 Fort Sumter

As you can tell from the photograph, I am losing the points of the squares on the sides of the block. Oh well, it's the correct size so, that's life! I love the fabric in the centre!

Block #16 White House

A quick and easy block to sew and it came together perfectly
...gotta love that!

Here are my blocks to date placed on pointe on my design wall:
I'm loving the addition of the brown enough to keep going with this sampler, and have finished about half of the blocks posted so far.

It is looking good--and the brown was a good choice. I love that focus fabric in the "pointless" block!

Kathy, Great addition of the brown! They do make a good combo for this quilt.

I want to sew some of these! I ordered some new Civil War fabrics with one of my Gift Certificates from the BIG BOX that I got from the McCall's contest online sponsors. It came this week and I'll have to count all of it on Sunday Stash report unless I sew Civil War on Saturday...
Your blocks are looking Great!

The center of your first block is one of my favorite fabrics too. But I just look at mine and can't cut into it (yet). You've showcased it in a perfect block.
The browns + blues are so rich together! Great fabric selections, and you're making great progress.

Oh yes...the brown is a nice addition! Blues and Browns; can't go wrong with that combinations! Specially since your "center" fabric on two blocks have brown.

I wish it was still Wednesday! LOL Your latest blocks are gorgeous. I think the brown is a positive addition to the blocks. Fort Sumter is the one block I have left to do to catch up.

I have a Civil War quilt on the docket. I have probably enough fabric to make 2 Queen sized quilts. Your blocks are really cool. I had been debating a pattern for my quilt and recently decided on Sampler. It's cool to see someone else doing it, too!
