Here you go Amy...this is the size of the Storm at Sea blocks from the quilt I posted yesterday, as compared to the infamous Canadian coins - the $1 "loonie" (the gold coin with the loon) and the $2 "toonie" (the silver/gold coin with the bear). Hey... those blocks look cool with circles in the centers!
This is what I am working on today...fabrics are from my stash and my friend Marion's stash. The pattern is from the Moda Bake Shop website and is perfect for using with jelly rolls - click here to go to Random Reflections pattern.
Very fun and easy to sew! I have 3 stacks sewn, and 3 more to go. This photo shows 2 stacks sewn together. I am delighted with all the fabric that is getting cleared out of here.
Do you have a jelly roll looking pretty on your shelf? Make it into a quilt so you can really enjoy it!

Such a nice block, I love the motion it gives in the finished top. The jelly roll quilt will be a nice change of pace after all that precision piecing.
You are insane, Kathy. I made one of those years ago but the blocks were probably 12" EACH. I can't imagine doing all those pieces in such small sizes. It is amazing and stunning, too.
See! Even Julie calls you insane! :D)
Thanks for showing the picture.
I have the Reflections pattern printed off to in hopes to make it (SOME day). Those are BRIGHT fabrics.
I love your storm at sea! Haven't tried any of John Flynn's kits but it is appealing to have all those pieces cut for you ahead of time...
Wow, can't believe how small this block is! I like your stacks of fabrics blocks too. Looks like a stack of books!
Kathy -- thanks for showing your random reflections quilt and posting the link. It is a neat way of making a quilt that does come out totally different. And, best of all, it is easy!
Those pieces are way to small for my consideration. Love the stacks I need to do some with all the kid prints I have, the girls would love them.
Wow! I had no idea the Storm was so small. Makes me realize I need to quit procrastinating on my 16" blocks... :-)
Love your take on the Bake Shop project, it really pops!
