For my
12" sampler block this week, I used one of the blocks from the
Friday Block Party. I have been mostly a "lurker" on this blog, and have enjoyed seeing all the different blocks made from the same pattern.
I was tempted to make the whole block from half square triangles, but decided I wanted to try using a different method of piecing flying geese units than I used for
this block, so I went ahead and followed the instructions :)
Block Name: Another Star

hereThis was a fairly straight forward block to sew and I only had one tiny problem...which was quickly fixed with my seam ripper and a little concentration!

Don't you just hate it when that happens? LOL I don't think I've ever sewn anything that I didn't at least have to take one seam out and redo it. I think I'm too busy brainstorming the next project while I'm sewing :-).
LOL...been there, done that too! :0)
As always----LOVE LOVE LOVE the colors!
thats a very nice block. Great colour choices.
Love your block. We try to be so careful, and still things get bottom on top and top on bottom. Yesterday, I sewed the wrong row to the top on my Carolina (Iowa) Christmas (it has sashing) so I now have to rip out about 100 inches. Can you hear me groan? It'll have to wait though, I have company coming and a busy week.
Love your block, Kathie!! Very pretty pink and black together...lovely. Are you watching the game tonight?
So very pretty Kathy! I love the pink fabric.
