Since the pandemic it has taken me longer and longer to finish a quilt. I just seem to move slower, start more projects, and do more crafts. Have you experienced the same thing or is it just me?
Anyway, I finally finished this quilt while visiting my sister at her cottage this summer.

The Princess Charlotte quilt top was finished on Feb. 15, 2021. This might have been the fastest mystery quilt top I have sewn in all the years of doing Super Bowl mysteries with Kris of Scrapdash. And then it sat in the "to be finished" pile.
This is a close up photo that shows the "lazy quilters way" to make faux mitered corners which I like to do.
The long arm quilting was done by Quilting By Design in New Hamburg. They give you a discount if you are donating your quilt to a charity and this quilt will be going to the community outreach program at my local quilt guild.Finished size is 50" x 62".

Hooray for a quilt finish! I love the relaxing colors you used, and the faux mitered corners! Someone is going to love this quilt!
Beautiful quilt Kathy! It will bring a smile and comfort to whoever receives it. I have a pile of quilt tops waiting to be quilted… I need to get them to the finish line.
I very much like the soft colors you chose for this great pattern! How kind you are to donate this sweet quilt, which I would be tempted to keep.
Thanks for the close up of the faux mitered border. What a great idea!
Congrats on this beautiful finish. I do mitered corner like that too. I didn't know there was a name for it. I love it. And I love the quilt too. Such a peaceful one. Enjoy! ;^)
That mitered corner is brilliant. So much easier to manage than with long border strips. So thankful for that hint!
Congrats on the finish. It turned out beautifully.
Love the quilt! Such pretty colors... and I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who after the pandemic seems to need more time to finish stuff and keeps starting more stuff than I should... don't know what's gotten into me ...LOL
I wish I could blame the pandemic, but I didn't have a great track record for finishing project even before the world turned upside down! Lovely quilt finish; such an unexpected but delightful combination of the black and white prints with the pale yellow and aqua!
