Welcome to the Slow Sunday Stitching weekly linkup party! If you like to stitch things by hand, you have found your people!
I am at a cottage this weekend with some of my favourite people. The weather has been glorious, and the stitching time has been fabulous!
Some of us started the Stitch North Biscornu pattern by Sarah Anne Stitches (you can download the pattern on Sarah's link tree). I am stitching my version on a light blue fabric (on the left), and my friend Kathi has finished the front panel which includes 8 Canada Geese, 3 pairs of scissors, 4 small leaves and 4 large maple leaves, and a star design in the middle.
It is not a quick stitch, but very fun. The Canada Geese look like weird blobs until you add the backstitching.
Yesterday I finished stitching "Kind Words Cost Nothing" by Modern Folk Embroidery. It was so relaxing and it turned out beautifully. Just look at those birds!! I'm thinking of finishing this one in a hoop.
What are you hand stitching today? Did you start any new projects in June?
