Slow Sunday Stitching

Welcome to the weekly hand stitching link up! We celebrate all types of hand work and enjoy seeing what is being created by hands around the world. Where I live in Ontario, Canada we are in the middle of winter and we have survived a cold and dark January. But we did see the sun yesterday and I am looking forward to hearing what the groundhog will predict for the weather in the next 2 months - an early spring, or 6 more weeks of winter?!

I have worked on 2 cross stitch pieces this week.

The first one is the Arctic Animals SAL with Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery. I am already a couple of steps behind, but keep working away - slow and steady wins the race! The iceberg with all that white stitching was tough, but I am loving the Aurora Borealis at the top!

And the second project is my Vintage Angel. I have enjoyed stitching her and am almost finished her skirt. The only other thing to stitch will be her shoes and she will be done!

What are you hand stitching today? We hope you will link up your instagram or blog post today and share your projects with us.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

They mentioned Groundhog Day on our morning news today! Love your two ongoing projects. And yes all that white looked hard work but it will be worth it!

It’s good to see you are getting some stitching done. That iceberg sure has a lot of white in it! The angel will soon be done. Sending a hug to you. Take care, Kathy

Your stitcheries are beautiful, Kathy; even though I don't do counted cross stitch, I love the "look" of all the pieces-. I never learned how to set them up and they look like you'd need really good eyesight, too]I love visiting all the people who leave a link...
Thanks for hosting this,
hugs, Julierose

Artic Animals is great. I looked up the pattern. Your angel is so pretty. You should get a lot more stitching in as the groundhog here predicted 6 more weeks of winter.

I’m thinking 6 more weeks of winter, but who knows. Our temps here in Southern NM have gone from highs in the 40’s to the 70’s! Yes, slow and steady. I believe I read on your blog (?) that slow stitching projects take a long time, that’s why they’re called “slow stitching”. I felt such release and freedom after I read that. Thank you!
Your vintage angel looks beautiful! Thank you for hosting!

That's a lot of pressure on the groundhog. =) I don't know how I'd exist with only seeing the sun every now and then during January. Your Angel is beautiful. How fabulous she is nearly finished. Enjoy stitching her pretty, new shoes.
