This quilt started with the 2019 Quiltville leader-ender challenge. I sewed a few bocks every month from scraps on my cutting table, and from the scraps donated by my friends.

I am slightly annoyed by the random direction of the loops. I wanted it to be consistent, but my quilting brain couldn't concentrate enough to make it happen. So now I am saying "I meant to do it this way"! Also, I wasn't sure if it was finished or not as the centre of the blocks are kind of puffy. But it really grew on me and I decided not to add any more quilting to it.

The backing is just a plain grey piece of yardage and I like how the quilting design looks on the back of the quilt.

So much time and patience must have gone into creating this lovely quilt but it's been worth it because it's beautiful.

I love it "puffy"! I tend to be a minimalist quilter so this appeals to me. Love the scrappiness.

Good to have a quilt reach the finish line instead of the closet. Lots of fun scraps. All you need is enough quilting to hold the layers together. While admire the sill of people who do beautiful dense quilting, I prefer a more casual feel.

It is a cute finish! If the puffyness bothers you enough...you could use yarn and put one tie in the center of the middle square. It would be a lot to machine quilt around each square so this would be an easier out!! Love the design on the backing too.
I think your fun loops suit the quilt so well, and "less is more" right? It's such a bright fun finish.
