I have been keeping up with the Magnolia Mystery from Meadow Mist Designs. One step is posted each month, so it's a slow and easy pace. And I'm using up fabric leftover from my Swoon quilt, and the backing trimmings from my Tetris quilt, so it's a win/win situation.
Here are my pieces from step #1 and #2. I haven't trimmed down the HST blocks yet. I will do it because I know I will be happier with the accuracy of the finished blocks. But it is such a tedious job and I have to be "in the mood" for it. So that trimming job is waiting for the mood to arrive!
Meanwhile, the next step was posted yesterday and these pieces are going to be made into flower units, so I am excited to get going on that this weekend.

I love your progress thus far! Yellow and grey is one of my favorite combinations. :)
Trimming down blocks are always tedious but I never regret going the extra mile. The accuracy is very satisfying. I look forward to seeing the units stitched together.
I am never in the mood for trimming, so I would be waiting a LONG time! It is one of those "just grit your teeth and do it" things for me. I tease myself with thoughts like "just trim 10 at a time and then go do something else for a bit."
Isn't it great when you can create something nice out of leftovers?
Pretty! Love the color combination! Looking forward to seeing your progress!
Looks great! I agree about the trimming, I don't love doing it but it gives the HST such accuracy.
Love the fabrics you picked for this quilt. Great way to use up the left overs.
I love the fabrics you used also. I am working on this quilt and have had fun with it so far, I look forward to seeing how your quilt comes together.
