Design Wall Monday
Clarissa is on the design wall this morning.
This is block #15.
I try to make each block a little bit different and I like how a few well placed hourglass blocks give this one a diagonal emphasis.
Here are all the blocks together on the design wall. I wanted to see what they would look like all smushed together with no sashing space.
I miss the sashing space!
I think my goal is to make 5 more blocks.
Total # of pieces = 2,160

oh! what fun! so glad to see perfectly imperfect blocks! And what I mean is a variety of colour placement.... it's so pleasing to my eye... and so reminiscent of vintage quilts. thank you for sharing. xo
wow seeing them all together reminds me of a Kaleidoscope :)
What perfect piecing in restful colours.
I love this quilt, it's so pretty! 2,160 pieces! Yikes! I just finished a quilt with 1,590 and thought that was crazy! It's looking really good, sashing or no.
That'll be a LOT of tiny triangle Pieces. I love the Blues and browns!
Last week, I biggie sized the 150 Canadian Women #65 Block you showed. Mine wasn't as scrappy as yours. The link doesn't work on that Post, FYI. Thanks for sharing.
WOW!!! That is just beautiful!
You'll have to try an x formation too. Looking wonderful!
I love these so much! I love how they are smashed together!!
I love watching these blocks come together! I am in love with all the colors you are using, it is going to be a beautiful quilt!
this is turning into an amazing quilt.!! The colors are soothing, the amount of piecing is crazy!
I agree that the sashing will help define the quilt, but the blocks are wonderful, whatever the setting!
Gorgeous piecing and luscious colors in this soft quilt...hugs, Julierose
Clarissa is growing up so fast! And so beautiful, too!
love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I've got to make one of these quilts. I even considered sitting down this afternoon and playing with some hourglass blocks. Then I looked at my empty sewing table and remembered my sewing machine is in the repair shop - sigh~
Very inventive within your limited colorway, Kathy! You're enjoying all this tiny piecing, obviously.
Looks like it's going to be a beautiful quilt. Thanks for linking with Design Wall Monday.
Wow! So many points!! I would go blind. Gorgeous blocks.
