Canada's Birthday

Tomorrow is Canada's 150th birthday! Of course there will be parades and fireworks, parties and picnics.
In anticipation of the big celebration, I have been slowly working on the blocks for my 150 Canadian Women quilt. These are some of the most recently finished blocks. This quilt is definitely going to need some sashing for a little breathing space.

I have been sewing these red and white blocks on my white Featherweight. It runs like a dream and is so darn cute!

Have a great Canada Day tomorrow!

Looks like you are in the spirit of the day! I am trying to decide how to help my MIL celebrate from her nursing home room here in the States.
Have a great holiday!

Happy birthday Canada. I had no idea you were only 150 years old. That is going to be a beautiful quilt Kathy.

I've been saving all these blocks to make later in the year. Now the year is half gone and I haven't started yet. Sigh. Your blocks look good and I believe a little sashing would be a good idea. Happy Canada Day to you too. Hope the rain stops so we can enjoy the different celebrations outdoor. Enjoy eh! ;^)
