Scrappy Saturday
My Maverick Star (pattern here) collection had some new additions this week. I made two new scrappy purple blocks, this one with a dark star on a light purple background, and a second block that is the reverse. It's in the collection below... the block in the top row, second from the right. Wow those purple striped fabrics really stand out!
I have 30 Maverick star blocks now and enjoy seeing this collection grow.

They look fantastic 💖👍
My friends and I liked the crazy stars so much that we did two charity quilts out of them. We used two sizes and kept the background all one colour.
Very pretty additions.
A bright and cheerful collection! :)
Kathy, the ink to the pattern didn't work. What size are your blocks?
I love these blocks! Waiting for the heat to break so I can get back into my sewing room
I don't know what there is about scrappy stars but I just love them and they make the happiest quilts.
I love your Maverick stars...I think they will be put on my to-do list!
I love these blocks!! They look so great!!
Lovely!
I am loving the purple!!
These look wonderful all together. I MUST put these stars on my long to do list!
If you did those stars in batiks, and made them 12 inches, you could join the batik star TOBE on Treadle On. One of my blocks is similar to this pattern.
Like everyone above, I just love those maverick star blocks! What a fun quilt! So fun to look at all the different colors and fabrics.
A great idea reversing the darks and lights, gives so much more variety. Keep up the good work!
Your stars are fantastic!
Those are really gorgeous. The purple one is beautiful.
Purple makes everything better
Love these stars and thanks for the link!
What fun! I think the glasses and owl centers stand out more than the stripes! (I like playing I spy).
Great looking Maverick Stars! I like that you are making some with dark backgrounds & light stars.
love all your star blocks!!
Beautifully scrappy! It's going to be a fun and colorful quilt when it's all done.
