Julie is hosting a fun Log Cabin Lunatics link up where quilters can post about their log cabin projects.
I have only sewn 1 log cabin block recently. It is one of the July Shop Hop blocks, and probably was my favourite one of all the patterns. They give you the fabrics, so all of the 1" scrappy strips were precut for me! I did pick a different background fabric from my stash and impressed myself with how the horizontal pattern in the fabric lines up fairly well across the block.
I think you have lined them up amazingly. They match well.
Quite a feat to get the background stripes all lined up. I like your log cabin star very much. The star is such a versatile block and looks good with a variety of center blocks.
Excellent job! A striped background fabric is not an easy one to work with but you lined it up perfectly. ;^)
great block, I linked up too
I love it! The combination of blocks is so much fun!!
love this, so different than a normal log cabin block or a normal star block
Beautiful, I love star designs. I'm very much a beginner quilter, I'd love to have a go at making a log cabin quilt.
That's a great way to piece the center of your star
Matchy matchy...I know you worked hard at that and it didn't come easily!! Good job!
I was given lots of log cabin blocks, but, they aren't all the correct size. Putting the star around them might get them finished one day. Thanks for the idea.
Great job! Love that little block.
Nice log cabin block, keep up the good work!
That is a fun star block with the log cabin as the center! Would make a pretty quilt all on its own!
I noticed the lining up before I read the post! Very impressed
nice back ground for the block. I picked up that kit as well and threw out the background fabric. I spritzed it with water and watched it shrink. eeks.
