Scrappy Saturday - Maverick Stars
It's brown month over at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I needed some brown blocks for my Maverick Stars collection.
I made a light star on a brown background, and a brown star on a light background.
And here's the whole collection so far on the design wall. It is such a fun project to work on to use up small cutoff triangles for the wonky star points.

If they had a contest, I bet you would win for the most RSC projects in the works!
These stars are fun, and I like the reverse value placement effect.
I love your star quilt. It has inspired me so much that I had to start the RSC challenge with stars myself.
All so pretty :)
These are so cute! I have a drawer full of waste triangles, so I will have to try making some maverick stars.
Very fun way to use up those tiny scraps.
great scrappy stars -
Your stars always make me smile. And covet. 8)
The scrappiness of the background for the stars is delightful and really helps the stars twinkle.
great looking stars! they will make a nice quilt when they're all done...
I love making liberated stars, and yours are especially inviting. I always enjoy your writing and your quilts--thank you for sharing so much with your readers.
Reversing the colors is a great idea. They add so much to the variety of the mix. Keep up the good work!
great collection of maverik stars.
What size are you making them?
I vote for the dark browns background for your stars....even though you didn't ask for a vote. Love it.
Such a fun block. Great mix between dark and light backgrounds.
So much fun to have so many projects on the go that there's always a block that needs doing for RSC. Great little Maverick Stars.
Those are beautiful. I love seeing them all together like that.
Love the dark light mixing! Great blocks!
I love the balance of light and dark backgrounds, this works so well.
The Mavericks sparkle!
Maverick Star collection is beautiful, what a quilt you'll have at the end of the year!
