My Disappearing 4 Patch blocks are finally sewn together. It's a fun block to play with and uses up charm squares - the tutorial is here.
I decided I didn't have enough of any of my potential border fabrics (that I showed in this post and this one) so I need to go shopping to get more. The quilt top needs at least one border to bring it up to a larger lap size.
I already have the backing, so I'll be ready to finish this quilt soon!
It's so rewarding to see a project move closer to the quilting/finishing pile!
Your quilt is so pretty!! I just really love the colors...and have never made one like this...another idea is born!
Wonderful, I sometimes find that a couple of borders with varying sizes can finish off quilts like this wonderfully
it looks great! can't wait to see the finished one.
The block may look a bit complicated but it is such a simple block to sew and it stitches up into such a pretty quilt.
Congrats on moving this one closer to the finish!
Love your D4P ... can't wait to see how you border it.
Oh too bad the printed border fabric was not sufficient in quantity, it works so well. Good luck finding something to use as a border..Happy Shopping!!!
Looks great. It makes you feel like you have been busy when you get to quilt it
I love the layout of this D4P. Time to dig out mine at try and finish it, you have inspired me.
Thanks for helping me decide what to do with two charm packs of Avignon by American Jane. I have a few yards from the same line that has been stowed away for several years. Your D4P will be perfect!
Your Disappearing 4 patch turned out beautifully!! I look forward to seeing the border. I love to go fabric shopping!
What a great little quilt! Very fun looking.:)
Love the quilt. Never done one before but this pattern is on my bucket list xx
That is tough to "have to" go shopping! : )
Hope you find something that clicks. This is such a happy quilt!
this disappearing 4 block works very well, I have just watched a video on the disappearing pin wheel block which looks amazing need to have a go at both of these
What a great little quilt! So bright and cheery. Good luck finding a border fabric you like.
Beautiful quilt! Love the sunny colors you used.
