Orange is over!

This is the last Saturday of September...how did that happen?!?
It's been one heck of a month, topped off with a week where both kids were sick, and my son missed the whole week of school. Even the dog was sick and up 5 times during the night to go outside (if you get my drift!) I'm sure hoping for a good night's sleep sometime soon!
I was able to do a bit of sewing and met my monthly Rainbow Challenge goals. (I don't plan to mention that I didn't do a single thing on my UFO project this month or last month...*sigh*)
I sewed up some orange crumb blocks at the beginning of the month, and finished my orange Knot block last week. I posted the first 9 Knots blocks on my Design Wall Monday post if you missed seeing them.
And this week, I finally finished up my orange paper pieced palm branch block (pattern is here). It was great to clear out so many scraps and play with the colour orange this month, while watching the leaves slowly turn orange at the beginning of my favorite season.
Check out the other projects being made with scraps over at SoScrappy.

Oh, I so miss the trees changing colors! Thanks for the pic and love all your pretty orange projects. I'd say you were very productive this month and those UFO's can go back on the list for next year!

great blocks! I am wondering where September went too! I think we're a little too young for our lives to be flashing by THIS fast!
Hope your family got the germs outa them now too.

I really love the fall weather but I'm sad about the approach of winter - brrrr!!!! I know it is necessary for a lot of reasons, but it's like having to eat my veggies when I'd rather have chocolate cake :*)

Your orange blocks are wonderful! I've been researching what I want to do for the Rainbow Challenge next year. It's such a fun project each month!

Both orange blocks look fabulous! Working on UFOs is a great goal, but it is like eating vegetables when sometimes it is more fun to have ice cream instead. Maybe next month you can make a big end of the year push.

You could call this one Orange you glad it's over? Beautiful Fall colors happening in the Pacific NW too. I don't look forward to the white stuff, but I will enjoy the color changes for now. Better luck next Month on your UFO challenge. Mine is still in the tote also.
