I have been working on my plaid June UFO, but not making as much progress as is likely necessary to finish the quilting this month. I have been studying the leftover fabrics and cut scraps trying to figure out how to use up as much as possible.
Here it is with the first border sewn on. The next border will be light scraps, with the remaining 8 bonus HST's sewn in somehow, and then maybe a final dark border. Instead of sleeping last night, I came up with a fun idea to add more orange (most of the orange fabric is used up).
I am off to my medieval torture appointment at the orthodontist this morning - rewiring of the braces. OMG I can't believe I did this to myself!

medieval torture--that made me laugh!! Its fun to see what you've been sewing. Handwork--sometimes I'll do it--but haven't attempted any hand quilting for a long time. No hand strength anymore.
I love this plaid quilt. I'm curious now to see how you work more orange into the border.
I hope you survive the torture--and when it is all over with I think you will be glad you did it. I know I am even after almost 4 years of the torture! : )
I LOVE plaid quilts but can't make them! It drives me crazy when the plaids aren't perfectly perpendicular. Have you ever seen perfectly perpendicular plaid, it doesn't exist! For some reason, it doesn't bother me when other folks have wonky plaid. I think a little more orange in the border is a great idea! Good Luck with that, and your braces! Advil, take many and take often!
Love how you continued the orange into the border area! Hope the orthodontist visit wasn't too awful!
I love this plaid quilt and how the orange just seems to make the whole thing dance and "zing"!
The torture will be worth it in the end...take tylenol and eat soft food! Love the orange zing in your plaid quilt!
I like what you did to the first border. Can't wait to see the next step.
That's a gorgeous quilt with all those plaids.
Hope the rewiring went well and that you aren't in too much pain...been there, done that..so I sympathise.
