I made some "creative revisions" (a.k.a. errors!) but managed to get the block to end up looking similar to the pattern.
There were quite a few HST's to sew! Initially I rebelled against squaring them up and after trying to get them to fit together unsuccessfully, I gave in and did the required trimming. I really do "know better"! LOL
To see more of the Quilt Square Quilt Along blocks, hop over to Jo's blog and see all the inspiration. I was the lucky winner of the fabric prize for last month's draw, and received it on Valentine's Day...what a lovely treat! Thanks again to Jo for all the fun we are having with this Quilt Along, and for the generous gift!
Now I can't wait to get started on my March block!

I like the teal blues. A fresh look. The words on the fabric add to the fresh look.
This block turned out really nice, Kathy. I like the fussy-cut words. Looks great!
Oh, I love your colors! And the words - what a great idea! This looks wonderful! ~Jeanne
I love the look of this block. Great job with fussy cutting that border too!
This fabric is beautiful and I love how you fussy cut the border. Great block for your sampler.
Very cute block! I always hope that my hsts will finish the correct size and all nice and even and then I try to sew them together...Then, just like you reality hits and I trim!
That came out so good! Love the fussy cut border. A very soothing blue block.
What a beautiful block! That fabric is SO pretty!
Great job fussy cutting the word fabric for the border. I think lots of people were challenged by this one in February. Thanks for sharing!
