Life is Beautiful block #21 |
I really like (and try to live) the saying. I say to myself: If this was my last day on the planet, would I be proud of the decisions I made, of how I treated the people in my life, , and of how I used my resources, including the most precious resource of all - time?

I hope you will make a space in your schedule to slow down and spend some quiet reflective moments with a needle and thread in your hand. And then make a cup of tea and join us at the Slow Sunday Stitching linky party.

Hello Kathy. I would love to participate some Quilt Camp. It's a pity that there's nothing like that here in Brazil. Loved the block you're working.
Have a nice day.
I'm glad you had a wonderful time at quilt camp! Today I am working but I will spend some time this evening slow stitching my Seven Sisters quilt. I am not spending enough time with her.
Glad to hear that you had a great time at camp! :)
That is a nice block! And like you've posted recently, your favourite! Lol
Oh your thoughts are so true
I wonder if those ladies were ever at quilt camp? Love the dragonfly!
Block #21 is so pretty. I like the sentiment and the picture. So glad you enjoyed your quilt camp.
My slow Sunday is sadly going to have to be spent catching up on housework. I love your little embroideries.
Your dragonfly block is so spot on! Thanks again and always for hosting Slow Stitching Sundays
Love your dragonfly stitchery - perfect words!
Ah, a quilt retreat! Definitely on my "one day" list! You are so right about being mindful of the priorities of life as tomorrow is not promised to any of us. Such sweet stitching!
Quilt camp sounds wonderful! I love reading your Sunday blog it always inspires me as do the other slow Sunday sewers and helps me to slow down and recharge my energy for the week ahead - thank you!
That is a lovely saying to live by! I have had a lovely Slow stitching Sunday, prepping pieces for my applique quilt. As Sarah said, having this regular Sunday blog, is a very welcome time to slow down and stitch.
The camp sounds like such a great time! I love your block and the sentiment. The older I get the more I realize that each day is a gift not a given.
Have a great week,
Judy
You have shared some wise words and beautiful embroidery.
I love the different size running stitches on your (beautifully stitched) block - it really catches the eye. As for the saying, it's a lovely sentiment, but probably not so good for someone like me with chronic depression, haha!!! I love the way you've interpreted it thought, with the focus on others and not what you want to cram in x
I'm enjoying my cup of hot tea and stitching away (well, obviously I've taken a break)! Your dragonfly is darling! Your stitches are all even and perfect. Just lovely! :)
Attending quilt camp must have been inspiring. It sounds like a great vacation also.
loving that dragonfly!
Provocative thoughts to accompany your sweet block.
I think your stitching is just perfection itself! And I like your view of living every day as though it were your last.
Thanks for hosting Slow Sunday Stitching.

Oh, I also wanted to say that I like the photo of the ladies. Seeing them standing sideways, looking so slim, made me think about the bustles that would have been popular just a dozen or so years before that photo was taken -- and how pleased the ladies must have been not to have to wear them!
