Welcome to the weekly hand stitching party! It's the day after Halloween and also the time change (we fall back 1 hour). So today we will be a little discombobulated, and maybe in a sugar coma!
I did get a Halloween quilt finished on Halloween so I'm very proud of that! This is the project from the Spooky Box from Fat Quarter Shop. It is called "Sweet Brew". The 4 pieced blocks were a little tricky to make - the bats, the bubbles (9 patches), the candy, and the stars. But it was a fun project and I enjoyed it from start to finish. I don't have a photo of the finished quilt yet, since it was dark when the last stitches were taken last night.
I added one of the cute little tags that came in the Spooky box to my label as I was hand stitching the binding down (which was a black fabric with silvery grey stars).
I also finished a couple of little wallhangings but I didn't take photos of them yet. You can see them on my latest Flosstube video here.
Today I will work on this cute little project. It is called Broom Sisters by Lindy Stitches. I have finished almost half of the project Stitched and was tickled that this design included a black featherweight sewing machine - how could I resist?!?

I love that there is a sewing machine in your witch cross stitch project! So cute! You’ve had a very productive October. I finished and donated two quilts to fundraisers this month. November is going to be productive as I am going on two quilt retreats! Happy stitching to you!
Congrats on a great finish, Kathy. I agree with you Broom sister is a cute pattern. This afternoon I will be watching your Flosstube. Happy Stitching!!
goodness you have been busy! Love the witch and broomstick with the sewing bits on top!! Sarah quiltingbythesea
That is a fun quilt!
Your Halloween quilt is adorable, Kathy! What a fun project! And the cute stitching witch with her sewing machine on her broom. I agree - how could you resist?! Have a wonderful Sunday!
Oooh, I like your "Boo Brew"! I've never purchased any of the FQS special boxes but the more I see of them, the more tempted I get. I'm sure they'll get me one day! I got one Halloween quilt project done early but the one I really wanted to complete --- that's been a long time UFO --- did get moved a bit forward but not "fully finished". Guess it goes back in the box until next year!
