Winter Walk Quilt Top

The New Year's day mystery quilt at Scrapdash was a 2 block pattern called Winter Walk. I got a few blocks sewn at the beginning of the year, but it took me until this week to get the blocks finished and sewn together.

Here it is on the design wall. I'm still deciding about adding a border. The size now is 48" x 60" which is good for a donation quilt... plus I don't have much fabric left. This border indecisiveness often leads to the slow march into the UFO closet, so I need to make a decision quickly 😄

That is so pretty, Kathy - great colors! I suffer from "border indecisiveness," too. I finally decided a finished smaller quilt is better than a UFO in the closet!

If it is a good size for a donation quilt, I'd be tempted to call it good!
It is a fresh and pretty quilt. I am amazed at all the mysteries you get made!

The blocks show off that palette wonderfully.

Lovely just as it is, don’t worry about adding a border.

I say finish it up now. It's an interesting design which probably looks very different depending on your fabric choices and the various layouts.

Hi Kathy,
Those two blocks make such an interesting quilt pattern when they are together. I looked at the picture for a long time! It looks great without a border, and will then move on to the next stage of finishing. Yeah! Hugs, Judy

This is so pretty, Kathy! I love those clear pinks and blues against the crisp white. I love it just as it is, unless you find a perfect border fabric that really adds something (something more than just bigger dimensions!).
