Purple is the colour of the month for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. We are encouraged to corral those purple scraps and make something.
This week I have been working on my last quilt for the Scrap Squad, and have been sewing my purple batik scraps into Alamo Star blocks as my leader/ender pieces. It's amazing how quickly these blocks come together while you're sewing your main project.

I have always loved these little stars, but the purple batiks take them up a notch--or two, or three. : )

So pretty! I haven't started on my purples yet...hopefully carve out an hour this afternoon for that.
they are so striking. I might like them better than most stars. So simple but the line is so pleasing. LeeAnna

I love batiks and I love purple. These blocks are perfect!
Pretty purple stars. I'd get so much less done if it wasn't for leaders and enders.
