Scrappy Sprouts |
Are you tempted to start your own scrappy sprouts project? It's a perfect rainbow scrap challenge project. If you make a block or two each month, before you know it, you'll have enough for a quilt. The pattern is free from Traceyjay Quilts and uses up 2.5" squares and HSTs.
If you need more encouragement to start making sprouts, just check out an amazing quilt made from sprout blocks over at Poppyprint. The quilt was published in Homespun magazine.
Love it!

This will be a beautiful quilt. I'm always tempted to start something new. But do I have the time to do all of it?
Those sprouts are always so lovely. Just love them in purple.
Using this pattern for your RSC was a brilliant idea!
Such a fun pattern. It has been on my someday list for quite a while. Such a fun scrap using block.
looks good!
Delightful . Thanks for the link. One of these days I'm going to jump in the RSC with both feet. : ) I've been collecting ideas. Just need to start. Janita
Oh my, what an interesting project!
So cute--love the sprouts!
I do love this pattern. : )
This pattern was on my list of "possibles" for this year's RSC too. I ended up choosing something else, but this design will stay on the list as something to make a dent in my 2.5" boxes of squares and triangles. Looking forward to watching your garden grow!
It is a very interisting block. A fun and easy block to make and have a pretty quilt along the RSC.
I love that block, and quilt idea! Thanks for the link to the tutorial!
Yes, I feel like making some!
Your sprouts are very convincing and sweet, so I checked out Krista's post and it is so lovely. I'm sure you will enjoy adding the purples to your sprout garden.
Lovely sprouts --
The little sprouts are coming along just fine. Love the finished quilt - thanks for sharing the link. So nice to see what the potential is for the block.
Lovin' those sprouts. Your scraps work very well together.
The stems quilt on Poppyprint is gorgeous. Thank you for showing it to us. I look forward to seeing yours progress.
