Aurifil BOM

The February block for Aurifil's BOM is called "Lake Life". Here is my version made in red fabrics.
You can read all about the designer Kari Carr here, and you can get the free block pattern here. It was a challenging block to sew but not nearly as difficult (for me) as last month's block
This block was a challenge simply because of the number of small pieces (the HST blocks finish at 1") that needed to be sewn together with so many seams to match.
You can see lots of gorgeous Lake Life blocks posted at Pat Sloan's blog here.

It is such intricate workmanship. I think I might have paper pieced it.

Beautiful! Everytime I see a red/white quilt it makes me wonder why I haven't done one yet!

I have to say that your block in the reds is my favorite. I could see a whole quilt of these blocks in the reds and white.

BOM, block challenges and other things...I thought I was a busy girl...but you win!!! How do you manage to get it all done? Need to know those secrets! I use to but have forgotten them along the way!

Love the way your reds are graded from dark to lighter at the tip. Nice work.

I had seen this block of the month promotion but passed due to too many projects! These tiny HSTs are amazing and you're going to end up with one beautiful quilt.
