One of my classic UFO's is back out again...it's Roll, Roll, Cotton Boll.
I am bound and determined to finish this thing before Bonnie's next mystery starts in November. This is terrible how long it is taking me to finish this one ...it is the mystery quilt from Nov. 2010. Sheesh, it's already 2013!
Well, I finally have the top together! I don't know why the photo loaded sideways, but just tilt your head to the left and you'll see how it looks on the design wall. It's an odd number of blocks with the layout I made, but I just didn't want to make 4 more blocks!
Now I'm working on these seminole borders and can't wait to see how I figure out how to join them at the corners! I'm happy with how it's turning out, so maybe this month I will actually be able to finish this quilt.
To see more UFO goals, hop over to a Lovely Year of Finishes.
And to see more design walls, hop over to Patchwork Times.

Beautiful quilt! Good luck on getting it to the finished flimsy stage this month. Looks like you are well on your way to making that goal.
Oh, I remember this one. I love your colors. I can understand why you would not want to ma,me more blocks. The border is lots and lots of pieces. This pattern is my favorite of the mystery quilt patterns Bonnie has done. I haven't made any of her designs.
This is so very pretty. Perhaps you tired of working on it and had to put it away for a bit. I am so glad you picked up this UFO. Keep at it. Gorgeous!
It is just beautiful!
Go Kathy Go! You are so close, it will be finished in no time at all.
I'll continue to cheer you on.
The end is in sight! The Prickly Pear blocks look great. I was surprised -- and delighted! when the border for my RRCB fit perfectly at the corners.
You Go Girl! Beautiful quilt!
I really like what you are doing with these blocks, Kathy. I think it looks fabulous!
I am plodding along (barely) on Easy Street and thinking I may take a break from the upcoming mystery. We'll see how long that resolve lasts. : )
It is looking great!
You have made a lot of progress on this one. I really need to finish Easy Street before the next one starts. Will you plan to do the one this fall?
Love it! Oh, and I don't consider that a long time to finish a project.
I love that you have those 3 on the side & that you didn't make the last 4. The top really is quirky this way & gives the top a personality of its own.
Your quilt is looking beautiful! You are so close to being done. I know you can do it!
Good for you! I love seeing Bonnie's Mystery Quilts... I don't have the patience to make my own but am so glad others do. This is gorgeous~
I am ready for Bonnie' s next mystery once I assemble my Midnight flight blocks from March. Good luck finishing your RRCB!
I love Bonnie! I love your quilt! Great colors.
Love the colors you used! Bonnie's quilts do have a lot of pieces, and I love her pieced borders. Your on the home stretch!
what a beautiful piece this is~! love your color choices and the border is coming along nicely.
sometimes it takes me a while to finish projects too. i tend to get distracted by every idea that comes along and before i know it i've managed to get too many irons in the fire . . . the good news is i'm never bored~!
:-)

wow this sis pretty special and love the semonile patchwork you are using as a border
LOVE the colors! Sometimes putting a project away for awhile, allows you to pick it up again with more enthusiasm! Keep on rollin'!!!
I don't know that I've ever commented on your posts, but seriously, I love your blog. You quilt like a maniac, so much going on.
Sometimes a quilt just needs to age a bit. This one is lovely.
Very beautiful, another one on my to-do list :)
It's beautiful. I have become interested in Seminole quilting and was interested to see your border. While hubby and I were on a trip, we came across a quilt shop called the Seminole Sampler. I was so excited and just knew they would have some great patterns and samples. NOT! Not a single piece of Seminole quilting or patterns in the shop. They said they had not had any in years and suggested I check the internet. Really?
