The number that Judy pulled for the UFO challenge for March is #8. Don't tell anyone, but I changed around a few things and made #8 become a project that I have all the supplies for. I already have the border, backing and binding fabric ready to go, therefore this UFO has a better chance to be finished this month.

This store has been closed for many years, and I have been trying to guess how old this project might be...I'm guessing 15 years old. Does anyone recognize this design so I can give credit to the designer?? I am amazed that I still had all the original fabric together with the unfinished top in a bag!
This is the backing...very boring, but done!
Now I am ready to do the pin basting and get on with the quilting!

Kathy,
I really like this, what a great finish!
That's a wonderful quilt! I love the colors and the scrappiness of the cheddars. I'm planning and blue/orange quilt in my near future, so yours was fun and inspiring! Good luck on the quilting & getting 'er done!!!
Great quilt. The scrappy border is perfect , reflects all the cheddars in the stars.
Hey, I have a 15+ year old UFO on my list this year too! I split it into two parts so I still have a bunch to do. Yours looks great! I'll be cheering you on.
It's your list, so you get to do what you want with the UFOs on it :) I switched up this month too. I like the scrappy cheddar border and the scrappy stars. Pretty color combo! Great that you had everything together, makes it so much easier to get back to work on a UFO, right?
I remember that store. Scott and I used to make a yearly trip in the spring or summer to St Jacobs, to wander the "strip" and all the quilt stores and "antique" places. It's sad that there are a lot of local quilt shops closing. I guess it's hard to compete with the prices on-line.
Kathy, Kathy, Kathy...that is such a gorgeous quilt. I am so glad that you have almost got it all finished!
Great pattern & colors -I love star quilts!
Kathy what a wonderful quilt!! Love the star pattern and the colours!!Looks awesome after waiting 15 years to be finished. !!!
My lips are sealed! Whatever works to finish a UFO. :-)
I love this quilt no matter its age! Such great complimentary colors, and I think the inner border looks like it was meant to be. : )
Lovely! I can't wait to get my March UFO done too
What an awesome new header photo!! I loved it the first time I saw it, fabulous!!! I actually like the scrappy chedder border, good on you for finishing such an old UFO, boy! I bed it feels good to have it nearing completion!!
