Quiltville Mystery Update

It's amazing how quickly time can pass when you're preparing for Christmas. I remind myself that everything always gets done somehow - the shopping, organizing, cooking, wrapping, visiting, etc.

I'm very pleased that I was able to squeeze in some time to make a few blocks for part #4 of the Chilhowie Quiltville mystery. Sewing a few seams here and there is definitely not how I prefer to work on a quilt, but it's the only way (for me) at this time of year.

These are the blocks I've sewn so far, which are stored in a recycled spinach container. I look forward to seeing what these will become in 2023! I'm popping over to the Quiltville website to see what the next step is, even though I have no time to sew! That's okay - next week there will be lots of time to relax and sew!

pretty big stack of units tho...and while the mystery at this time of year is great for some, for those with lots of holiday prep it can be no fun at all..

It is hard to keep up with Bonnie's mysteries if you have other obligations in life. My goal is to have enough of the various parts done to be able to put together the first block when she posts it. I'm with you, I'll do a better job of getting caught up next week once the holiday is past. Happy stitching and Merry Christmas.

Oh i use those spinach and lettuce containers too for projects...they are great little organizers.
I just finished what little wrapping I had to do this morning--my tired hands don't like doing this anymore!!;000
Tomorrow we take off for my "..Over the river and through the woods" trip to my son's home where our whole family will meet--not since Covid have we done this...hoping for good traveling weather...
Hope your Christmas is a blessed and a Merry one..hugs, Julierose

That is so true, Kathy . All of those Christmas things will get done and the family will remember the warm memories most of all. I am so glad to hear that you squeezed in a few moments for yourself. Your blocks are looking great. I love seeing your progress on QAL ; you inspire me to join more. Have a very Merry Christmas
