Scrappy Saturday

For some unknown reason I started playing in the selvage box yesterday. The creative path is like that sometimes and you just have to go where it leads!

This is a rainbow scrap challenge quilt-as-you-go project that started in 2020.

I love interesting selvages
I started sewing aqua selvages to a 9" batting/backing sandwich. Note to self... always make the backing square a bit bigger for more accurate trimming.

It was fun to make a few more blocks to add to the collection.

Those creative paths sure are not straight lines are they? Your selvage blocks look like some fun sewing. I have an overflowing bin of selvages but haven't played with them for awhile. After seeing your blocks, now I want to dig into my own selvages.

So fun to look at those selvages up close! Quilt as you go sounds like a good way to use them, too. I agree about going where your creative path leads - you never know what might happen!

Beautiful string blocks.

Selvedge blocks, always fun to stitch. I'm sure I've got a UFO selvedge project tucked away somewhere, should really get it out and see what needs to get done.

Very pretty blocks, and what a good idea to make them quilt as you go style!
