Scrappy Saturday

I am totally off my schedule for working on my Rainbow Scrap Challenge projects. I'm not even sure what the colour for November is, but that's okay because I haven't finished my yellow blocks for October yet and still have this pile of mini arrowhead blocks (link to Anita's blog) waiting to be sewn.

Finally one block is sewn together! Woo hoo! These are 3" blocks and are so darn cute. I have been making a few each month for 2 years now and still only have enough for a wallhanging :)

Here is a fun (but blurry) photo of me that a  snapchat filter put on top of my mini arrowhead blocks.  But you can see how I am starting to sew the blocks together in groups of 4. I still love this project and will continue sewing these blocks into 2021.

In the region where I live we are now on "red control tier" which is a tiny step away from lockdown. Lock down just means that other people might start to live like we have been living since March!  And for some unknown reason when lockdown is mentioned, people start needing to shop constantly. Long lines at grocery stores have returned and probably toilet paper will be scarce again LOL!
I'll be staying home safe and covid free in my sewing room!

Those are such great blocks, Kathy! Love the photo of you with your blocks in the background! They make a neat design. We are back on red here in Colorado, too, with empty toilet paper shelves as well. Staying home sounds like the best thing to do!

I love your little blocks. Nice photo. We are in total lockdown here. Only food and drug stores are open. And schools. I pray every day that my daughter and grandson are safe. The lockdown doesn't bother me too much. I can't get out anyway.

stay healthy- love your block that you show. Things are not closed here but I almost think they should be there are a lot of virus cases out there, I go walking in wide open places and shop early once a week for groceries in a large store where I know it will not be crowded.

Those blocks are super pretty! I love them!

I'm glad we are pretty much homebodies, but contemplating the holidays is hard right now - it's the one time we get to enjoy spending time with our far away family.

I stocked up on a lot of essentials a couple of weeks ago. Stuff like laundry soap, ketchup, parchment paper (love those sales), and bacon. I get the bacon at Costco and had to (yes had to) stock up on chocolate. Never know when I will get there again. Quality Street, Lindor, Werthers. Swiss Deliss.

Your tiny little blocks are so great! It's a tough year, but we're getting through it. Stay safe!

Love these bitty blocks, and the filtered photo is very fun. You and the blocks look very good together! :)
Our area did really well in the early days of Covid, but we are in bad shape now. Did get out to a quilt shop and restaurant today (fully masked--except while eating--and distanced) for a little early birthday celebration, but will be staying home for the holidays.

Same here, we venture out only to the post office and grocery store for the most part, and do a drive now and then to keep the cabin fever at bay. Otherwise, we are hunkered down at home.

Didn't realize you were in a red zone for |Covid. Do stay safe in your sewing room!! I have been working on knitting as well. Lots of little Christmas gifts are getting made. I am just not sure how I am going to get them to the recipients. Loving all those little blocks. I will return to sewing in the near future once all the knitting is done!

Your arrowhead blocks are so, so, so lovely. Well done.

We have been in the red for weeks, but our state seems to think that there’s nothing to be done to slow it. I keep the kids and myself home, and I can’t do much more myself.
