Scrappy Saturday

It was such a busy week I haven't had time for blogging, and even if I did, my internet connection has not been cooperating with me.  But it's randomly back today, so I'll try to post this.

I've been making some little nine patch blocks and using up some lime green scraps. This is the tin that my Omigosh scraps are stored in. The tin is 6.5" x 9" and contains hundreds of small bits of fabric, some squares, some strips, and some partial and completed 9 patch blocks. I love this tin in a very extreme (somewhat concerning) way! LOL!

I've sewn up a pile of little blocks today, and here is the first finished double 9 patch block. Lime green blocks are noticeably absent in the block collection so far, so hopefully there will be more made to join this one today.

Here's a picture that gives a better perspective on the block size. It is smaller than the pattern!
One more done, about 50 more (not all lime green) blocks to go!
Hop over to the Rainbow Scrap Challenge to see what the other quilters are sewing with their lime scraps.

Even tiny those lime green patches sing a cheerful song. What a delightful little project!

I knew those pieces were tiny, but it had escaped me how really TINY they are... Omigosh, I think I want to make one, too!

Good name for this quilt - that's what I said when I saw the size of the tin and the tiny shares! I love 9 patch and your limes.

I love scraps, but somehow this one is just TOO much for me. Love how your blocks look!

Does anyone offer therapy for a tin obsession? : )
I am always so impressed with the way you just pick away at these big quilts a little at a time until they are done. I am SO impatient. Wish I was only 50 blocks away from making an OMG quilt. I've never started it, but have always loved it!

Those blocks are crazy small!

I've been working finished subunits through as leaders and Enders on the same pattern. Definitely a slow and steady pace, but progress is good. I like the tin too -- sometimes finding joy in little things is fun.

Love that lime.

I envy you your Omigosh progress. Mine went off the rails from lack of precision sewing. But thankfully, it is easy to contain! : )

It's amazing that you can piece such tiny blocks! I love tiny things, but sewing them, no. The lime green looks so happy in them. Keep up the good work!
