UFO Update

It's getting down to the wire now!
I have 2 days to finish my July UFO!
While I was quilting, I came across a little problem with a seam allowance. It appeared as though I hadn't sewn that seam at all...can you see it?!?
I paused the machine quilting and hand stitched that little hole closed, and then carried on.

The machine quilting on all the blocks is finished, and I am now stitching in the ditch just before the first border.
So there are just two borders left to quilt. I'm thinking of a free motion feather with a straight spine going right between the two borders. No rush...LOL! I still have two days to finish the quilting and bind this UFO!

Going well! Nothing like a deadline is there? Don't forget to breathe...

Good job on fixing unstitched seam. "They" say free-motion feather are easy. I think some curved stitching designs would compliment nicely with the straight lines.

You are so close! Keep on quilting!

Great progress on your UFO's. I am way behind on finishing anything this year. Feathers would look great on the borders. Good luck.

I love all the plaids in this quilt. Aren't you glad you practice your slow stitches for instances like this! LOL Good luck with finishing on time.

I hate it when a seam misses and yes I have done that too and then catch it when I am quilting.

I always have to laugh when I am quilting my quilts because I find sewn in threads, loose seams, and off points that professional quilters are always complaining about when a quilt is brought to them. So I chastise myself for my poor workmanship and threaten to charge myself more the next time. ;-)

Oh, no--sounds like no rush at all!! : )
Yes, I have had that happen. I've closed many a little opening by hand after a top was "done".
Loving these plaids--wish I could play in mine right now!

I just love this plaid quilt - may have to run to the thrift shop and grab up some shirts (used up all my sons).
