A Mini Finish

While at Quilt Camp last month, I made a cute little
mini quilt and almost forgot to post about it on my blog.  My quilty friend Sue made a larger size quilt from the red scraps in her stash, and she had some leftover pieces which she generously shared. This little gem finishes at 4" x 3" plus binding. So cute and tiny! My friend Barbara helped with the cutting, so it went together really fast.
The best part was the machine quilting... hearts all over the place!
It was so tiny, I was afraid it would float away, so I put some "quilt weights" on it just in case! Maybe the best part was eating the quilt weights?!

I have found the perfect place to hang it in my quilt studio! It makes me smile every time I look at it.

Okay... that mini quilt "weighted down" and NOT totally ROCKS! Love that you made that little wall hanging for a memory but I totally love the plaque you have on the wall... sent a photo of it to my bestie... wonder if she would bail me out or sit next to me! lol We aren't as young as we used to be! ha :) Thanks for sharing... have a wonderful day! Very cute mini - those quilt weights wouldn't last long in my house either. Yeah, love that plaque, too.

Love your quilts as I do prefer traditional block patterns and the old colour combinations - it's like you've been making them all just for me! You didn't, did you by any chance?? xCathy ps giveaway on my little blog?!

Love how cute and tiny--I'd find a place to display it on a flat surface so I could use more quilt weights. : )

cute quilt! made me think of a game we used to play at Christmas and ppernut cookies where you have maybe 12 on the table, you have a person be IT and they close their eyes or leave the room, then everyone else agrees on a cookie that's a MOUSE (or in this case it could be a heart-hershey kiss) the person comes back and starts slowly taking cookies and he's allowed to keep them/eat them until he gets to IT and everyone yells MOUSE! and he has to stop, now I wonder if it's more of a challenge that if you touch the MOUSE you lose your cookies, so you have to know when to stop, but we just played it to see when you get to the mouse and sometimes it's the first one you touch, other times you get 11 and the 12th is the mouse, it's a fun game!

Very cute mini! The only problem with those weights is that they wouldn't last long in this house.

I love the sign you have hanging below your new mini. Drama Teen and her best friend kid each other with a version of that quote (one without that last line).
