Design Wall Monday - Sampler Blocks

On the design wall today are some of my blocks for the Grandmother's Choice block sampler. This project has been freely provided to blogland quilters by Barbara Brackman and all of the 49 blocks have now been posted. I put a push on to finish up blocks #41-#46. It was fun to figure out how to use up the scraps I have from my reproduction fabrics. I just have to finish the blocks with hand stitching and then I will be ready to put these blocks together into a sampler quilt top... so exciting! Hop over to Patchwork Times to see more design wall projects.

Hi Kathy. I'm glad that you post regularly because it reminds me to pray for you and your brother.

Much love and tender mercies to you today.

Take care. You are dearly loved by the Most High God.

Hi Kathy, I reread you post of the 18th. Brought back such memories - I cared for my dad in much the same way - so my prayers are heartfelt. Yes, quilting will keep your hands busy, and will be such a wonderful memorial of your time with your brother!

I love your GC blocks!! I finished mine up and even have the top pieced, the sandwich basted and I'm ready to start quilting! I have really enjoyed this sal, especially seeing all the other wonderful blocks out there!

Blessings!

I'm glad you got them done like you wanted. I didn't do it because I was behind on the CW Sampler all year. I'm still working on the setting. Good for you to keep up.

Oh I like this sampler and yours looks great. Wish I didn't have so many things started that need finishing. Maybe next year I can do a Barbara B quilt or a sampler.
