Welcome to the weekly hand stitching party! Take some time today to power down your brain and enjoy the benefits of relaxation with your favourite hand work.
I finished this cross stitch like I do all of my miniature quilts. I ironed a stabilizer on the back of the stitching since it's a bit larger than a "mini". The single binding is cut at 1 3/8", attached on the front using a 1/4" seam allowance, folded to the back and hand stitched down. I added the split handing sleeve at the top, and the triangle label at the bottom. I usually write the name and designer of the pattern, and my name as the maker. Sometimes I add the year or other pertinent information on the label.
It has been a while since I have experienced the joy of finishing a project and it has inspired me to look at what else I can finish in my sewing room!
Do you have any finishes to share with us this week? Are you longing to have a finish? We understand! Keep stitching and eventually you will get there!

Your Blessings Sampler is such a lovely cross stitch in those pretty coloured threads. You certainly finished this pretty in next to no time.
Your min sampler is very cute! A finish always feels so good, happy stitching!
That is a nice mini finish. Really like it in shades of blue. Have a great week.
Love, love, love your little finish! Thank you for showing how you finished it. I never know how to finish cross stitch projects like that, so I just avoid doing them. I know I could have googled or youtubed it and seen a ton of different ways. Now that you have posted yours, I may have to get out some of my little stitching projects. Right now I am still addicted to applique. But in my brain I am saving your post so that I know what looks like a reasonable way to finish the projects. Thank you for the inspiration AND for being the hostess for Slow Sunday Stitching! I love the inspiration I get from others each week.
Lovely finish, Kathy! Do you have a place on your wall to hang it? I wonder what you will finish next!??
No finishes here, but working on a couple! Your Blessings Sampler is lovely, Kathy. Enjoy your Sunday stitching today!
I have a few finishes that need to be completed also. I love this little wall hanging. Your stitching is pretty.
Your sampler is gorgeous , Kathy. So pretty in blues. Enjoy your day.
Congratulations on such a beautiful, heartfelt finish. I love the various shades of blue and the quotation. Thank you so much for sharing how you finished it off. I am always looking for ideas on finishing off my hand stitched projects. Last year I finished 10 UFOs; I am hoping to finish an UFO a month this year. We’ll see. 😊
Beautiful finish! Love it!
For me, finishing is more a relief than joy as such. I tend to hang onto my almost finished projects for forever. Yours is adorable and love that stitched sentiment. Happy Stitching, Kathy.
Such a pretty finish!
