Welcome to the weekly hand stitching party!
Last week we had 35 link ups! And because it was Thanksgiving weekend and Monday was a holiday here, I had time to visit everyone. It was a lovely to enjoy a pot of tea and meander through the links and study the shared photographs you take the time to post for our learning and enjoyment... pure delight!
P.S. Jocelyn... I can't reply to Google plus for some unknown reason, but wanted you to know that I enjoyed seeing and thinking about Jiggs Dinner for Thanksgiving! The leftovers are even more tasty! YUM!
Thank you to each one of you who take the time to share your projects with us. The variety of hand work never ceases to amaze me.
And if you are ever wondering about how many people drop by to visit... here's the info from my Inlinkz dashboard tally from the hand stitching party last Sunday... 4,714 views so far!

I had one of those long hard weeks. You know the kind, where everything goes wrong one thing after the other, and the "to-do" list just requires more energy than you have available?
But in spite of it all I managed to finish stitching Ms Wise Owl. I adore her because in each of the locations where I had time to add a few slow stitches, I was thinking about how hard life can feel sometimes. And although Ms Owl looks a little discombobulated and overwhelmed, she still stands tall, is kind and loving to others, and remains resilient! She's still able to see the stars and stay grounded to the beauty of nature.
I know I am projecting a lot onto this little stitchery, but she and I just bonded throughout the challenges of this week!
Hand stitching keeps me mostly sane!
And so ... I'm asking Santa for this mug for Christmas!
What are you hand stitching this week so that you stay mostly sane?

Ms owl is very cute, despite her look of surprise. If she had eyebrows they would be raised I feel! I hope next week is more under control and that you have a day of restful sewing and contemplation!!
Ms Wise Owl is adorable! Hope next week slows down for you!
Ms Owl is wide awake and ready to listen to you! I hope next week is better for you.
I sew to keep sane too although some people question that sanity!
Hope today is the start of a better week.
And sometimes my eyes look that owl's eyes. (I need to stop looking in the mirror in the morning). And it's kind of funny that owlie is sitting in open morning glories under the stars.
I have a tendency to project a lot in the work I do, looking for meanings or wise words. It must be a sign of something. May be that we need a more stable routine and less chaos around us. Anywho! Ms. Wise Owl looks like a very good listener. May this coming week be peaceful and free of hardship. ;^)
I love Ms. Wise Owl, she does look like a very good listener! I hope the coming week is not as busy or as hard. Stitching of any kind keeps me sane and relaxes me.
love your little owl and I am able to join you all today
There were news stories this week that Google is not going to support Google+ anymore. I'm not sure exactly what that means. I was able to look at Jocelyn's posts last week, but I don't think I tried to comment. I was signed up for Google+, but never became an active user. I find it very frustrating that Google keeps messing with things but never bothers to tell its users what's going on. Apparently a lot of Blogger users are having trouble getting notifications of comments again, too. I guess it means we should all get off our computers and go do some hand sewing!

Ms Owl is adorable--I felt like that this week too--flu shot reactions for both my hubby and I--he thought he got away with none--but they did appear. Nothing that bad, just enough to feel punky, you know? i am not in shape to hand stitch this Sunday, but enjoy seeing all the lovely projects on hand in your linky...hugs, Julierose
Love that owl!
Love Ms. Owl and hope Santa brings you that Mug which says it all. It's great that you have 4714 views and 35 link ups.
Wow! That's amazing how many visitors for one post! Whohoo!
Cute little stitchery. Arent we fortunate to have a hobby that almost keeps us sane!
I was stitching in the car, while we were driving home from my family reunion.
