Slow Sunday Stitching

Hello stitcher! Welcome to the weekly hand stitching party where we hope you will get lots of inspiration and encouragement to help you on your stitching journey.

I had such a relaxing time earlier in the week hand stitching the binding on my newly finished Shoo Fly quilt. I love this happy colourful looking quilt and the scrappy binding really finished it perfectly if I do say so myself!

Once that quilt was finished, I pulled out my embroidery project to finish up. There wasn't much left to stitch, so that was wonderful to have 2 finished projects in a short period of time!

I put the 3 finished tea towels on the clothesline for a photo.

And then I went right back inside and worked on transferring the embroidery pattern for the next Stitcher's Revolution towel. FUN!

What are you hand stitching today? Do you have any finishes or slow progress to share with us?

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  1. How lovely your three, beautifully embroidered tea towels look hanging on the line. I must say, as a chocolate lover, your new new towel did make me smile. Wonderful too, that you finished the binding on your pretty quilt.

  4. Shoo fly is beautiful. Your quilting on it really complements it. I love those tea towels. How wonderful that you had finishes this week. The next towel has my motto on it that is for sure.

  7. Seeing you hand stitching your binding makes me wish I could magically jump from the two finished quilt tops staring me in the face to the hand stitch the binding stage without having to do the steps in between. Sigh. Enjoy your slow stitching today.

  10. I just finished hand stitching my own binding, Kathy! I always look up as I'm putting in the final stitch, expecting a parade or fireworks or something to celebrate that I've actually finished a quilt! Now it's in the wash machine, getting out all of the starch and residual markings, dust, dog fur... I love your "wine is cheaper" dish towel, too. Happy stitching and thanks for hosting the Slow Stitching Linky!
