Welcome to the weekly link up that celebrates all types of hand stitching!
This week I finished another embroidered tea towel. I really enjoyed stitching this design. The pattern is from Stitcher's Revolution and I bought the large cotton towels from Mary Maxim.
Most of the stitches were put in outdoors so maybe that's why I associate this project with pure relaxation. Last week I wrote about the outdoor stitching challenge of bees/wasps/hornets, and this week it was mosquitoes eating me alive. I put on the citronella candle and that made it bearable to stay outside.
Here are the 5 towels I have hand embroidered.
I don't know what I will be stitching today, but likely hand quilting another Life is Beautiful block. What are you hand stitching today? Link up your blog post below and hopefully the link up will be problem free this week!
Your latest hand towel embroidery made me smile. Sounds like excellent advice to me. All five hand towels are lovely. Great quotes.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the sentiment on your latest tea towel! What ever you decide to stitch today I hope you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteLove your tea towel embroydered collection.
ReplyDeleteHappy slow Sunday stitching/quilting.
You’d towels are lovely. I have a question though, do you wash your towels before you stitch on them?
ReplyDeleteThank you
Love how the towel came out. I love my skin so soft (Avon) for repelling bug snd bites. I remembered to shower with some body wash of it yesterday and no fly's bothered me at horses this week. They were annoying last week when I forgot. Good luck and happy stitching.
ReplyDeleteThe mosquitoes also love to visit me! Your tea towel’s sentiment is perfect! Enjoy your stitching today.
ReplyDeleteLove those Stitcher's Revolution designs - they look fun to stitch, too! Enjoy whatever you work on today, Kathy!
ReplyDeleteI love those tea towels. I unfortunately get eaten alive by the mosquitos even with citronella candles. I will be enjoying stitching inside while it is raining outside today.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great sentiment on the tea towel. I've been gifted embroidered towels from time to time, but I'm reluctant to actually use them in case they get stained. I suppose that's foolish. The mosquitoes have become a real trial. You can't even run out for a few minutes to do something without slathering up. I haven't found the citronella candles to be very effective.

Hi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteLove all your towels...so pretty!
Have a great day!
Love your new towel. I will have to see if I have that one.
ReplyDeleteOk, that tea towel is so cute - love that slogan! Made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday, Kathy. Your little embroidered towel is as darling as can be. Such a cute collection. I like to sit outside to stitch as well, but have the same problem. The mosquitos are unbearable. Have a great week and thank you for hosting the link party.
