Welcome to the weekly hand stitching party where we celebrate and enjoy a wide variety of stitching options.
When I visit the blog link ups I am always amazed at the range of projects that talented stitchers around the world are creating. We are each drawn to different types of hand stitching and we need to follow our passion, and only spend our precious life moments stitching what we really enjoy.
This is what I am enjoying these days because it is relaxing and easy! I am continuing to hand embroider some tea towels for Christmas gift giving. This is my 3rd one and I'm hoping to finish it today. I'm thinking about sewing some of my newly purchased COVID19 fabric along the bottom of the tea towels just for fun.
What hand stitching are you enjoying this weekend? We hope you will link up your blog post and share your project with us.
Your COVID fabric across the tea towel would be a great touch to date what is going on in the world while you made it. Whenever I see or get one of my quilts out that I hand stitch flashbacks come back to that time. I especially love the ones that remind me of conversations I've had with students and their lives as I subbed for their regular teacher. I LOVE talking to teens and then watching them grow and blossom. School is like my "person" garden.
ReplyDeleteI like the sentiment on this tea towel!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your slow stitching today. I like the idea of adding some of the Covid 19 fabric to the bottom of the tea towels.
ReplyDeleteWhen you say relaxing and easy...you do mean the stitching and not the wine!! haha
ReplyDeleteI saw you had gotten some Covid fabric I hadn't seen any in the on line shops I use.
ReplyDeleteI've done two of those wine ones and I am on the second chocolate one now. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeleteThat tea towel is so much fun! I think we might all need one of those!
ReplyDeleteThe COVID 19 fabric would certainly make these memorable.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteAlways love to see what your stitching...the projects you work on are beautiful...someone will love getting them. Have a great day!
Your stitching is coming along nicely. I'm enjoying the journey with you - as well as the party! Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a blog, but I've been making a hexi quilt for some time, and it came out to get worked on a lot this year. The cardstock is kind of large, got them at JoAnn Fabrics, so they are cumbersome to hold. But making progress. I've overdone today (2 hours) so will have to rest my hands, ice them, etc before I can tackle another section.
