I really needed something easy to work on this week and this was the perfect project. Big pieces, fun blocks, happy fabrics... what's not to love?!?I finished sewing the 10 alternate "footprint" blocks from part 7 and here are all the blocks together on the design wall. I cannot believe I was able to make all these blocks with the fabrics I had. There are hardly any leftovers, although I have enough of the blue scraps to piece a binding.
Next step is sewing the blocks together and pin basting the quilt. I'm starting to get excited about the machine quilting stage of the project coming up.
