Welcome to the weekly linkup where we celebrate the art of hand stitching!
Make a cup of your favourite beverage to enjoy while you visit the blogs of slow stitchers around the world. It's the perfect way to start your Sunday!
I have been enjoying lots of outdoor time and doing spring time chores like digging in the dirt, planting seeds, and trimming everything that is growing so quickly this time of year (including weeds). But still, Sunday is dedicated time to slow down with hand stitching.
Some progress is being made on my Stitcher's Revolution
embroidered tea towel. The inside of the design is stitched and I'm working on the outside. I like how it all fits inside this perfectly sized hoop.
What are you hand stitching today? Link up your blog post below and share your project with us.
Enjoy your beverage and hopefully getting some time to stitch more of your sweet little embroidery. (and yes it's very satisfying to fit the whole design in a manageable hoop!) Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteWeeds....they seem to grow faster and taller than the flowers, don't they. How fabulous you have been outdoors enjoying the fresh air. Your embroidery is coming along beautifully. Enjoy your slow stitching.
ReplyDeleteI've just found your blog through Kim, I love your linky party so much inspiration, thank you for hosting. xx
ReplyDeleteyes we just have to "roll with it" enjoy your day
ReplyDeleteI like how the border color on your embroidery, matches the hoop. The rain has curtailed my planting the last couple of days, so stitching is in the forefront. Enjoy your Sunday!
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery has a great sentiment! I plan on doing just that!
ReplyDeleteLove that stitchery, is it an Elefantz design?
ReplyDeletePinched sciatic nerve and my gardening is on hold for now. Even sitting is an issue but the heating bag is my friend. Will be joining in with a post a little later once I have rolled the quilt! Fresh rhubarb muffins and a coffee were breaky today!
ReplyDeleteI've been doing the same thing, pulling weeds and planting seeds. Love that stitchery!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute towel - looks like the perfect project to be able to pick up whenever you have a moment! Enjoy your Sunday, Kathy!
ReplyDeleteIt does look perfect in the hoop! Glad you are getting outside and playing in the dirt. I LOVE planting time. Sometimes I think I like shopping for flowers and plants more, but it's different with social challenges. I have a couple more rows to plant and more things to transfer. It's 82 degrees in Ohio already today. Looks like a great day to finish planting corn. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThat stitcheri is lovely! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm fixing to head upstairs to stitch on a binding. If I get it finished today, I'll link up.
ReplyDeleteYour rolling pin design is darling, Kathy! Is that on a tea towel?
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteYour stitching is coming along...your in
the home stretch now...have a great day!
Hi Kathy, everything here is growing so quickly - it's like we had 2 weeks of spring and now it's full on summer. At least there's a little bit of rain predicted. Since it wasn't as hot as expected, I spent most of my time with my hands in the dirt. I love it. So I hope to keep embroidering and slow stitching this week. Your tea towel is coming along nicely. Take care.
ReplyDeleteYour tea towel is coming along nicely. I too have been out in the garden, planting and pulling out weeds - mostly pulling weeds.
