We quilted as far as we could reach, leaving the threads to continue the stitching lines after the boards were turned. Rolling the quilt by turning the boards is always exciting and it is encouraging to see the progress made.
If you didn't enter the draw that I posted on Monday for the Olfa prize pack, click here and be sure to leave a comment there. The draw will be made tonight.
What are you hand stitching today? Link your blog post below and share your slow progress with us.
I would have loved to seen a larger picture of the quilt you guys were quilt on, was it a Jacob's Ladder pattern? Happy Stitching!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day you had. Sharing a quilting project like that makes it really special!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like fun! A beautiful quilt and people who enjoy quilting like you do - the perfect combination!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is a calm and cool scrappy quilt, agree with Gretchen bet the quilt design is pretty also!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of fun, unless it's as hot and humid there as it has been here. Enjoy your slow down day today.
ReplyDeleteThat quilting bee looks like a whole lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteThe quilting bee looks fun. Great scrappy quilt
ReplyDeleteMaybe one day I'll make it to this. It looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing your pics from the Scottish Festival quilting bee - takes me back to my childhood and fond memories of my mother, aunts and their friends. So much chatter happens around a quilt!
ReplyDeleteWhat FUN! I've never seen a quilt on one of those big square frames, not in person, anyway, just in pictures. And how interesting, with so many different quilters working on the same piece. Do you see a big discrepancy in stitch size or are the various quilters more or less keeping their stitches about the same throughout?
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty summery scrap quilt. I certainly understand that this quilt and stitchers would draw a crowd. Perhaps it will inspire a new person to quilting.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I would love to get in on an old timey quilting bee!
ReplyDeletewhat an awesome festival and chance to quilt in that tent.
ReplyDeleteI always wonder how some quilter reaches the center of the quilt with a set up in a frame as shown. I only ever see pictures of the ladies working on the edges.
