Small, Smaller, Smallest Blog Hop

Tiny visitor #1
Next week the Small Blog Hop is starting!
All the featured projects will be small, although the guidelines are quite flexible ... anything smaller than a baby quilt. I'm have been working on finishing my project plus a little matching miniature quilt to giveaway.  While I was working on my project, I had two small visitors, which I am certain must mean that something wonderful is going to happen! (lady bugs bring good luck)

March 7th is the day I'll be posting my project for the blog hop and here's a little statistical preview - my project includes 1,845 squares that are cut at 1" and finish at .5" in the quilt. Believe me that is a lot of small pieces to corral!

I'm so looking forward to seeing what these bloggers are making to share with us. Some of the participating blogs are new to me and some are old friends. Hope you will join in the fun with us next week! Here's the fabulous blog line up:

  1. I love the sneak peek of your smaller project!!! I love the stastical data you included and the ladybug and elephant you used to show how truly small your little patches are :)
I am in the midst of moving from Fla (left there on the 21st of Feb) to the Smokey Mountains in North Carolina ( we close on the 9th) so I will rejoin your Sunday group once we close and get unpacked for sure. I miss my slow stitching as we wait for our home to close in a hotel room with all my quilts in a uHaul at the moment.
Will be back here on the 7th to see your project in full Kathy :D

  2. Looking forward to following along on the small blog hop. Yes lady bugs are suppose to be good luck but unfortunately there are critters that look like lady bugs but are a pest created to eat another pest!! One summer we had a infestation of them at our cottage.GROSS!!!

P.S. Your blocks finish at .5"...OMG you are very crazy!!

  4. The pieces are so small, it needed a small inspector to look at it up close, hence the ladybug, lol. It looks awesome from what I can see. Enjoy the hop; I know I will. ;^)
