Slow Sunday Stitching

Sewing keeps me sane
Welcome to the weekly Slow Sunday Stitching linky party where we celebrate the art of hand stitching!
This week was so busy that I haven't even visited the links from last Sunday, which hardly ever happens. I was working extra hours so that I can take most of next week off to attend Quilt Canada

With such busyness, I haven't had much time for stitching. You know it's bad when I am not doing the thing on which my sanity depends! I will change that today. My mental health situation requires me to get as much hand stitching time as possible! It is the priority activity on the agenda and this will be my view. I am sewing the binding down on one edge of my Swoon quilt. I have the top three blocks sewn together and decided to see if I like the striped binding fabric that I found. I'm loving it! It has all the colours of the quilt (white, grey, black and yellow). This is the first time I have started attaching the binding to part of a quilt that isn't even finished yet - it's still in several parts! That is one of the benefits of Quilt-as-you-go.
So now it's your turn. Link up your blog post below and tell us what you're hand stitching today.

  4. You were missed yesterday! I'm headed home later this morning (breakfast with the few remaining). The ugly fabric projects were creative. I got a great piece (not ugly at all) this time. One of my fabrics was brought back, and added in, so, we'll see more of it next year. Have a fun week at Quilt Canada!

  13. Wow! I am amazed how many people hand stitch. Although I don't have the patience for that, I sure do enjoy seeing all the wonderful creations of those who do. The only thing I hand stitch right now are bindings. But you know, it really is a relaxing thing to do while watching TV. Hmm. I might have to consider this . . .
