I'm not tired of the process of improv piecing yet, so I'm thinking of making another 2 or 3 rows to make it a bit bigger. However, I am eager to start another project this week, so I better get over to the sewing machine and get to "work"!

I started my own vortex! Love yours!
ReplyDeleteLots and Lots of scraps on your wall. I'm drowning in scraps calling my name. I just need a week or two at home without distractions so I can get them sliced and diced into my scrap users system. I did read Diane's post and have to comment. It was so nice that she could find the owner and return her baby quilt. I wonder about my treasured quilts and what will happen to them when I am gone. I dread the thought that they'll be sold at a yard sale for $5
ReplyDeleteLooking good! Looks like you've used up a lot of little scraps for this one.
ReplyDeleteI've kind of started Scrap Vortex but I'm not very far along. I'm trying to build blocks around leftover pieced blocks. I plan to cut the larger blocks apart to make them smaller. This is definitely something I don't normally piece so it is real challenge for me. I'm piecing them as leader and enders between another project.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun project to look at, wonderful scrappy blocks.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,

ReplyDeleteGreat to have the day off and do some sewing. Very colourful, Very scrappy. Very improvisational. Scrap Vortex is such a good name for this style - it just draws you in and swirls you around all the colour.
