Scrappy Saturday

August is the month for working with our bright green scraps over at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I have been sorting and cutting small pieces of green fabrics and preparing some leader/ender blocks for this month.

I checked my pile of pumpkin seed blocks and found that I already had several green blocks, but not any bright green ones.
I have now cut enough seeds for 3 more blocks and look forward to appliqueing those tomorrow for Slow Sunday Stitching. Hop over to SoScrappy to see more green scrap projects.

Today I will be hand quilting at the Fergus Highland Games. It's going to be a beautiful sunny summer day, so if you live in the area and are looking for something to do, come by and see us at the Heritage Tent. You can read my blog post from the 2012 Highland Games here

  4. I used the full range of greens back in May - so I'm going with blue-greens for August.

  8. Don't know that I would find any bright greens in my stash--maybe batiks, but I wouldn't want to do much hand applique with those. I find them tough to needle.
Have a lovely day stitching at the games. : )

  12. I'm not doing the challenge however have been watching what everyone is doing. If I had been I would not have had any bright green. Interesting how we have lots of one color and then little to none of other colors
