August is the month for working with our bright green scraps over at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I have been sorting and cutting small pieces of green fabrics and preparing some leader/ender blocks for this month.
I checked my pile of pumpkin seed blocks and found that I already had several green blocks, but not any bright green ones.
I have now cut enough seeds for 3 more blocks and look forward to appliqueing those tomorrow for Slow Sunday Stitching. Hop over to SoScrappy to see more green scrap projects.
Today I will be hand quilting at the Fergus Highland Games. It's going to be a beautiful sunny summer day, so if you live in the area and are looking for something to do, come by and see us at the Heritage Tent. You can read my blog post from the 2012 Highland Games here.
Lucky you could find some bright greens. I am having a bit of trouble
ReplyDeleteYou do have a fabulous variety of green scraps. Too bad I already have a commitment - I would have loved to come and see you!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun day! Enjoy.
ReplyDeletePerfect weather for the games. Enjoy the day! You have some wonderful bright greens for those pumpkin seeds.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lot of lovely bright greens!
ReplyDeleteI used the full range of greens back in May - so I'm going with blue-greens for August.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your event!
Go Green Go! That is SeaHawks Green in my house.
ReplyDeleteI love your greens and the pumpkin seeds are coming along nicely.
ReplyDeleteGajos en verde bellísimo y se lee para hoy un excelente panorama, disfrutar!!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't know that I would find any bright greens in my stash--maybe batiks, but I wouldn't want to do much hand applique with those. I find them tough to needle.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day stitching at the games. : )
Sounds like a fun time handquilting at a festival. Hopefully you will inspire a few to give a go!
ReplyDeleteLove those peels! Enjoy the Highland Games!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your bright green scraps and orange peel blocks.
ReplyDeleteI'm not doing the challenge however have been watching what everyone is doing. If I had been I would not have had any bright green. Interesting how we have lots of one color and then little to none of other colors
ReplyDeleteLove your pumpkin seeds! Wish I had the patience to appliqué, well I do by machine but are yours hand appliqué?
ReplyDeleteYou would not find those bright greens in my stash but I do like what I see.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great time this weekend. Stitching with friends while listening to great music - so fun.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed your slow stitching.
