Slow Sunday Stitching

What happens when you have white squares left over from a baby quilt, and small  bits of scraps from a sampler quilt? 
You start a mini quilt of course! 
I have been enjoying hand appliqueing the pumpkin seed shape for a while, and my technique has improved quite a bit. So I wondered how it would be to make a smaller seed block.
Scraps + Wondering = a new mini quilt!

Happy Mother's Day
The smaller blocks are definitely more challenging in making smooth curves and pointy points, but they are really cute.  Maybe I should try turning them into one of the variations that Julie has sewn using the seed block?

    Her variation is cute ! Happy Mother's Day to you ! :) Though I didn't do a specific-to-slow-stitching post this week, I'll get some quilt tying done this morning. Doing a little each day on a patchwork quilt for a little girl :)

    Yes applique does change with the size and shape of things. Luckily the more we practice the better we get. No slow stitching today, but I might find some time to start preparing the next the Baltimore Garden block. Happy Mother's Day!
