Yesterday's post was about the red bindings and today's is all about the green 2 1/4" Alamo stars. What's going on with all the Christmas colours in my sewing room!?!?
There were still a few leftover purple blocks from last month that I just finished up, and the rest are greens mixed with other batiks.
Green is such a welcomed colour this time of the year, but it has been so cold here (we had frost last night) that the garden seedlings are very slow to get growing. I started some seedlings in egg cartons this year, but look how pathetic they are.
Nothing is growing well, so plants can't go into the garden yet.
But lots of green is being cut and sewn in my quilting room!

ReplyDeleteI was late planting and now we have been having weather more suited for a little north of us but everything has been growing really well right now, plenty of wet!

ReplyDeleteI transplanted some seedlings into bigger pots last night cause it is too cold here too! yard work today and getting a second garden up and ready with fertlizer(it is new this year so it needs a boast) gonna relax this afternoon doing some handquilting! Have a great long weekend!

Those are tiny blocks! My garden is growing gangbusters. But we are about a month behind this year. Still chilly for us for this time of year, but I am not complaining. Soon we will see triple digets and the air will run everyday.
