Rainbow Challenge - Last Teal Week
I am happy to see the end of teal month since I've used up almost all of the pieces I cut at the beginning of the month. I sewed some spool blocks, some Omigosh blocks, and worked on my teal UFO.
But my most favorite blocks are these 15 tiny (2.25") Alamo Stars that I sewed as leaders/enders throughout the month. Some of the blocks have a teal star, and some have a teal background. Some star centers are the same as the background, some are the same as the star fabric, and some centers are a completely different fabric. Some blocks are mixed and matched when I didn't have enough of one fabric to make a whole block. You can see why I can't throw any little pieces out!
To see what other folks are sewing with their teal scraps, hop over to SoScrappy.
You definitely made the most with your teals. Your Alamo stars are so pretty...and so tiny! Wow!

ReplyDeleteI love your little blocks! :0)
ReplyDeleteLove that there's teal in every little star but not always in the same spot. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteLove your blocks. I bet they look even better in person, so tiny!
ReplyDeleteYour teals look so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour star blocks are super. What a good idea to make such tiny blocks and you have such unusual colour combinations.
ReplyDeleteI like your new title photo.
Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stars! I would love to hear more about them, as I save crumbs too. Do you foundation-piece them or are they pieced?
ReplyDeleteAs we say in French : "Chapeau!" (I tip my hat to you!) I don't know how you do it. How you can work on so many projects simultaneously is beyond me. I mean, I do have more than one project on the go but I don't work on all(or four) of them at once. I concentrate on one and when I get stuck / tired of it / bored / whatever then I switch to work on ONE other project. And on top of all that, you make beeeeautiful work. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are, once again, simply fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI do like your colour blends, very appealing.
ReplyDeleteYour Alamo stars are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful little scrappy stars!! Do you know how many you have now with all of the colors?
ReplyDelete2.25 inches . . . wow!!! They are wonderful together.
ReplyDeleteGreat using the scraps all up! I can't wait to see your rainbow Alamo stars all together.
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty. I would like to make a doll quilt. Does anyone know where I can download a pattern to cut out the pieces by hand?
ReplyDeleteThank you,
Patricia
