My newest leader-ender project is 3" spool blocks. After years of quilt making I have quite a vast hoard collection of small scraps that are perfect for sewing these blocks. Here are the yellow spool blocks I have made so far this month (pattern and inspiration by Bonnie Hunter). It is fun to watch them accumulate over the month as I add each one to the top of my design wall! To see more yellow scrap projects, hop over to SoScrappy.
Love that you are making this with leaders & enders. It's like making one quilt and getting another free! Love your spools.... put them on my 'to do' list. Thanks for the link too....
Great assortment of yellows. This will be a nice quilt.
ReplyDeleteThose yellow blocks are wonderful. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE this! Definitely filing this idea away. I have the yellows and I love spools. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that's a lot of spools, I'm impressed.

I love when I have a project that works well with leaders and enders. Unfortunately, the idea of a 3 inch block makes me weak in the knees.
ReplyDeleteGreat spools. I am getting close to finishing these and may need to find my next L and E project.
ReplyDeleteThere is a fine line between hoard and collection. As long as you keep using it I think it falls on the good side though.
ReplyDeleteYour yellow spools look great! :)
ReplyDeleteI think spools will be my next year's RSC challenge. They are so darn cute!
