On the design wall is a few "Roll, Roll, Cotton Boll" blocks, which is my UFO to finish this month. And by "finish", I mean a finished quilt TOP!
I have a good start on cutting the sashings and am trying to decide on the cornerstones. I have green on the wall now, but might go with brown. I also decided from this photo that I don't like the half blocks on the outside edges, so I am making progress on the layout choices and will soon be ready to start sewing the rows.

one of the women at the quilt retreat I went to last month was finishing up her RRCB top-to see it close up-Wow! I'm cheering you on that you'll meet your goal, it's a fabulous pattern!
ReplyDelete"go Kathy go!!" (that's my cheer)
Did you consider using solid blocks instead of string blocks? I want to make other Bonnie string quilts but will probably use solid pieces of fabric in place of string blocks.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks! How about strings for the setting triangles?
ReplyDeleteIt's looking great Kathy! I love your soft pinks and browns. Are you doing the pieced border? Mine is still just a TOP but I consider it finished - for now anyway :*)
ReplyDeleteLove the colors. Keep chipping away on it and you'll be at the top stage before you know it.
ReplyDeleteI love your UFO!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks - love pink and brown. The green adds a little something.
ReplyDeleteI think the blocks look pretty together without the strings. The green cornerstones look good to me, but I'm sure you will find what works for you.
ReplyDeleteyou are making this quilt your own. Go for it. Green or brown or all mixed up cornerstones. I'll be watching to see it at the end of April. Quilt-y HUGS! You can do it!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! I'm wanting to make a pink quilt some day - just not sure what - this one is a thought!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Wow! This is great! Just love the colors! This is a pattern I've wanted to do for quite some time!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors! I love this block and your quilt is coming together wonderfully.:)
ReplyDeleteYour RRCB is looking fabulous! You will be so happy to get that one off your UFO list :) Gorgeous Quilt!
ReplyDeleteTotally awesome Kathy.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty blocks. It's going to be a gorgeous quilt.
ReplyDeleteI like these blocks! All the half square triangles and the colors you have used strike my fancy.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteGee, my 'Roll, Roll Cotton Boll' is still sitting in a bucket in the basement. I haven't even started cutting the fabrics yet. Oh well.
